Policies & Procedures

Below are my policies and procedures, including health & safety protocols, and Rescheduling/Cancelation policies.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to contact me.

What to do:

  • Important: When you arrive, text me that you are here (or call if texting is not available) and wait for my response to come in.

  • Carefully review the Payment, Late, and Cancelation/No-Show/Rescheduling Policies below.

  • Fill out the online Health History & Consent Form sent to you at least two days before your initial session. If you remain an active client, this form will need to be filled out again annually. If, within less than a year of submitting, there are major changes that should be reflected on the form, you can request a new link.

  • I currently recommend that most clients decide for themselves if they wish to wear a mask for part or all of their session. For those who are immunocompromised, have significant airborne allergies, or who are not up to date with their vaccines, including seasonal vaccines such as flu and COVID-19, I strongly encourage wearing a highly effective mask such as an N-95 or KN-95. I reserve the right to change this policy at any point in the future.

  • Before the session, please wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer provided when you come into the massage room.

  • Please bring your own water.

  • It is a good idea to use the bathroom before you arrive, but you are welcome to use the bathroom at the top of the stairs as well.

  • Keep an eye on any probable symptoms of infectious disease, such as cold, flu, COVID-19, etc, in the days leading up to your session. Please let me know as soon as you can if you exhibit symptomsof infectious disease so that we can discuss risk levels and determine whether or not to reschedule your session.

  • If within a few days after your session you exhibit probable symptoms or test positive with COVID-19 or another infectious disease of concern, please inform me so that I can take appropriate precautions for proceeding clients.

What I am doing:

  • At this time, masks are optional. I may wear one at my discretion. If a client requests I wear a mask, I am happy to oblige!

  • This is a home office, and the home has two cats. They are not allowed in the massage room. I vacuum and dust regularly, but be aware that if you are allergic, you may wish to take medication before arriving. You are welcome to say hello to the cats and pet them - they enjoy people!

  • I strive to maintain a clean space, and high-traffic surfaces are disinfected with hydrogen peroxide.

  • Hand sanitizer is readily available in the massage room.

  • If you have questions, concerns, or requests involving my cleaning and risk mitigation practices, please feel free to contact me.

    • Payment is due on or before the date of service.

    • If a client wishes to negotiate a payment plan, this must be done PRIOR to the session date.

    • If a client is going to be five or more minutes late, it is requested that the client texts or calls to notify Eleanor, if possible.

    • If a client is five or more minutes late, the session time will be reduced by the amount of time elapsed. This does not apply if the client is on time but Eleanor is late.

    • If the client arrives/would arrive with less than half of the session time left, they may not be seen. In this case, the session would be treated as a cancelation within 48 hours.

    • Cancelations/rescheduling should occur with at least 48 hours advanced notice, if possible.

    • If a client cancels/reschedules within 48 hours of the session due to emergency, illness, or unsafe travel conditions, the client with be charged only 50% of the full session cost.

    • If a client cancels/reschedules/no-shows within 48 hours for reasons other than emergency, illness, or unsafe driving conditions, they will be charged 100% of the session cost.

While the general public's concern about the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases wanes, there is still value in taking common-sense risk-reduction measures to help protect ourselves & others. I appreciate every one of my clients as we have navigated so many dramatic changes in these past years.

If you have been receiving bodywork, thank you so much for your patronage! Whether or not you have been receiving massages, thank you so much for being careful and considerate during this ongoing public health crisis.
